CRIME WATCH REPORT FOR JULY 2026
Area 1- Coordinator- Tara Keenan Fox
7-20-2026 An unlocked pick-up truck with the key in it was stolen from Marion St. This vehicle was recovered in the Hill District.
7-20-2026 A vehicle o Promenade St. was entered overnight (likely unlocked), and the switchboard was tampered with.
Area 2 – Coordinator-Sandy Gibson
7-07-2026 A Dakota St. resident received a phone call requesting him to withdraw money and send it via Bitcoin after making threats to the resident about a drug investigation in Florida. The caller stated that they were from the DEA. This is a scam.
7-20-2026 A vehicle on Grace St. was hit and ran by an unknown vehicle between 10:00AM-1:30PM on this date.
7-23-2026 Packages from an apartment building in the 200 block of Noble Ave. were reported to be stolen after delivery.
Area 3– Coordinator- (Vacant)
7-05-2026 A smaller pick-up truck struck a legally parked vehicle on McMunn Ave. and fled the area.
7-16-2026 A residence in the 100 block of Dinsmore Ave. reported having damage to their home windows from a BB gun.
7-17-2026 A vehicle parked behind the elementary school was hit by an unknown vehicle causing damage to it.
7-17-2026 Two white male juveniles entered a garage on Noble Ave. and fled the area.

7-02-2026 An unlocked vehicle with a key in it was stolen from the 1500 block of Barr Ave.
7-08-2026 A fence on Hall Ave. was damaged.
Area 6- Coordinator- Bill & Janet Finlay Jr.
7-06-2026 An electric scooter was stolen from the Crafton Pool area.
7-11-2026 A vehicle parked in the shopping center near Wright’s Gym was struck by an unknown white vehicle causing damage prior to fleeing the area.
7-11-2026 An unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle near the Advance Auto Parts store and fled.
7-14-2026 Mail was stolen from the blue mailbox outside of the Post Office.
7-29-2026 Borough owned property in Crafton Park was damaged.
Tips/advice:
Parents, please look up the information regarding E-bikes, scooters, mopeds, and dirt bikes and educate yourself and your children. Warnings have been issued and enforcement is ramping up with citations. Information can be found on previous Facebook posts by the Crafton PD or by searching online.
We are still in need of one more Crime Watch coordinator. If you are interested, please contact the police department at (412) 921-2016.
IT IS SUGGESTED TO NOT USE THE EXTERIOR MAIL DROP BOXES AT THE POST OFFICE AS THEY HAVE BEEN TARGETS NATIONWIDE. IF YOU ARE MAILING A CHECK/PAYMENT, PLEASE DEPOSIT THE MAIL INSIDE OF THE POST OFFICE ITSELF.

11PM-6AM Sunday-Thursday.
12 midnight-6AM Friday-Saturday.
