Description
Residents are advised that PennDOT has scheduled slide repair work on Snowden Road between Piney Fork Road and Sheplar Drive, which will begin on Wednesday, August 5th, weather permitting.
Snowden Road will close to traffic between Piney Fork Road and Sheplar Drive beginning at approximately 7:00 a.m. Wednesday and remain closed around-the-clock through late August. The slide repair work will involve shoulder and road reconstruction.
Posted Detour:
South of the closure
• Head east on Piney Fork Road
• Turn left onto Gill Hall Road
• Turn left onto Old Clairton Road
• Turn left onto northbound Route 51 (Clairton Boulevard)
• From northbound Route 51, take the ramp to Curry Hollow Road toward South Park
• From Curry Hollow Road, bear left onto Cochran Mill Road
• Continue on Cochran Mill Road to Snowden Road
• End detour
North of the closure
• Same detour in the opposite direction
