The National Weather Service in State College has extended the
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Lycoming County in north central Pennsylvania...
* Until 915 PM EDT.
* At 707 PM EDT, emergency management reported heavy rain and flash
flooding in the area of Montoursville. Between 2.5 and 5 inches of
rain have fallen across central Lycoming County. Additional
rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area.
Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Williamsport, Montoursville, Montgomery, Duboistown, Cogan Station,
Trout Run, Loyalsockville, Ralston, Elimsport, Barbours,
Collomsville, South Williamsport, Garden View, Oval, Salladasburg,
Little League World Series Complex and Williamsport Airport.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
