Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued August 2 at 6:01PM EDT until August 2 at 6:15PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 601 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Economy, or
near Franklin Park, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Ross Township, McCandless Township, Cranberry, Moon Township,
Franklin Park, Aliquippa, Economy, Ambridge, Wexford, Baden,
Sewickley, Harmony Township, Leetsdale, Conway, Edgeworth, Freedom
and Bell Acres.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
