Curry County in east central New Mexico...
Southeastern Quay County in east central New Mexico...
Northeastern Roosevelt County in east central New Mexico...
* Until 715 PM MDT.
* At 627 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
19 miles north of Bellview to 10 miles northeast of Tolar, moving
southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Clovis, Portales, Texico, Melrose, San Jon, Grady, House,
Ranchvale, Broadview and Saint Vrain.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 357 and 373. Highway 60 between
Mile Markers 357 and 397.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.
Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
