Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 31 at 5:49PM MDT until July 31 at 6:30PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

At 549 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 12
miles east of Logan to 12 miles north of House, moving southeast at
30 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Surface observations. The Tucumcari Airport reported a wind
gust of 72 mph at 537 PM MDT.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Tucumcari, Quay, Logan, San Jon, Grady, House, Wheatland, Ragland,
Broadview and Bellview.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 332 and 373. Highway 60 between
Mile Markers 358 and 359.

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms have produced widespread
damaging winds and are capable of producing large hail.

Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
