VILLAGE OF TANNERSVILLE
STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARATION
Executive Order No. 1 of 2026
A State of Emergency is hereby declared in the Village of Tannersville effective 9:30AM on July 29, 2026 and continuing in effect for a period not to exceed 30 days or until rescinded or extended by subsequent order.
The State of Emergency has been declared due emergency conditions produced by extreme flooding, hazardous roadway conditions, road closures, and damage to public infrastructure throughout portions of the Village of Tannersville.
As Chief Executive of the Village of Tannersville, I have exercised the authority given to me under New York State Executive Law, Article 2-B, to preserve the public safety and hereby render all required and available assistance vital to the security, well-being and health of the citizens of the Village of Tannersville.
I hereby direct the Department(s) of Village Clerk’s Office and Highway/Department of Public Works to take whatever steps necessary to protect life and property, public infrastructure and other such emergency assistance as deemed necessary.
All residents and visitors are urged to avoid unnecessary travel. Motorists shall not drive through flooded roadways or around barricades, as doing so endangers lives and interferes with emergency operations.
Residents are advised to remain alert for changing weather conditions, monitor official Village communications (via www.tannersvilleny.gov or via the Savvy Citizen App, and Tannersville NY Face Book Page), and follow all instructions issued by emergency personnel.
Any person interfering with emergency operations or disregarding lawful closures or emergency directives may be subject to penalties as provided by law.
VILLAGE OF TANNERSVILLE EMERGENCY ORDER NO. 2
As Chief Executive of the Village of Tannersville in accordance with a proclamation of State of Emergency executed on the 29h, day of July 2026, do hereby order the following:
ORDER CONTROLLING PRESENCE OF PERSONS ON PUBLIC STREETS AND PLACES –AND SPRUCE STREET
As Chief Executive of Village of Tannersville in accordance with a proclamation of State of Emergency executed on the 29th day of July, 2026 do hereby declare that the following areas within this municipality are restricted and all pedestrian and vehicular movement, standing and parking; except for the provisions of designated essential services such as fire, police and hospital services including transportation of patients thereto, utility emergency repair and emergency calls by physicians:
Section 1. From the intersection of Lake Road/Railroad Avenue to the intersection of Spruce Street/Trailhead Village indicated on map [attached].
Please note - there is no passage along 55 Spruce Street.
Section 2. Effective Date.
This Local Emergency Order shall take effect immediately.
Section 3. Duration of Local Emergency Order.
These restrictions apply until removed by order of the Mayor of the Village of Tannersville.
