Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 28 at 4:57PM EDT until July 28 at 5:45PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 457 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Yorklyn to Shrewsbury to near Hampstead, moving east
at 35 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
York, Millersville, Willow Street, Red Lion, Spry, Dallastown, East
York, Stonybrook-Wilshire, West York, Shrewsbury, Grantley, and Tyler
Run-Queens Gate.
This includes Interstate 83 from mile markers 0 to 25.
Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
