Description

At a recent public work session, White Haven Borough Council met with Casella to discuss the recent issues with residential trash collection. As a result of that meeting, it was agreed that the borough's weekly residential trash collection day will change to Wednesdays, effective September 2, 2026.

Until September 2, 2026, trash collection will continue on Mondays.

To ensure every resident is aware of this change:
🗑️ Notices will be mailed to residents.
📰 Information will also be published in the local newspapers and shared on the borough's communication platforms.

Northumberland Street Residents:
Because of the change in collection day, the weekly parking restrictions on Northumberland Street will also change from Mondays to Wednesdays. New parking signs will be ordered and installed once the borough ordinance has been updated. Until the ordinance is officially amended and the new signs are in place, the current Monday parking restrictions will remain in effect.

We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we work with Casella to improve the reliability of residential trash collection. We are hopeful this schedule adjustment will provide more consistent service for our residents.

If you have any questions, please contact the White Haven Borough Office.
