Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 27 at 5:00PM CDT until July 27 at 5:30PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL
At 459 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from East Chicago to near Gary to near Hobart to near South
Haven to Westville to near La Porte, moving south at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Hammond, Gary, Portage, Merrillville, Valparaiso, East Chicago,
Schererville, Hobart, Crown Point, Highland, Munster, Chesterton,
Cedar Lake, Lowell, Hebron, Griffith, Dyer, St. John, Lake Station,
Lakes of the Four Seasons, South Haven, Whiting, Porter, Winfield,
and New Chicago.
