Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Westmoreland County Maintenance Manager Dave Forkey has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of July 27th. All maintenance activities are conducted depending on weather and operations.
Side dozing:
Route 136 (West Newton Road) in Rostraver Township
Route 31 (Mt. Pleasant Road) in South Huntingdon Township
Route 201 in Rostraver Township
Route 981 in South Huntingdon Township
Route 1008 (Derry Ridge Road) in Fairfield Township
Patching:
Various routes in Westmoreland County
Various routes in Upper Burrel and Washington Twp.
Route 30 in North Huntingdon Twp.
Route 2035 (Solomon Temple Rd.) Unity Twp.
Route 130 in Cook Twp.
Parallel Ditching:
Route 3037 (Waltz Mill Rd) Rostraver Twp.
Drivers can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights.
Crews will be picking litter, replacing signs, and updating existing signs, as well as address work orders on various state routes throughout the county.
