Description
The Village of Volente will start accepting candidate applications for the November 3, 2026 General Election beginning July 18, 2026. Positions on the ballot include one (1) Mayor and two (2) Council Member seats. The filing period closes at 5:00 p.m. on August 17, 2026. Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old, a registered voter by the filing deadline, have resided in Texas for at least one year, and in the Village of Volente for at least six months prior to the filing deadline.
Residents interested in serving their community can access the Candidate Packet, opens PDF document and additional election information on the Village website. Completed applications may be submitted to the Village Office during regular business hours, with the office remaining open until 5:00 p.m. on August 17 to accept filings.
