Description
Building & Code Officer
Crafton Borough is seeking a Building and Code Officer to serve as the Borough's Building Code Official, Residential Building Inspector, and Zoning Code Officer. This role administers and enforces building, zoning, and fire codes with a strong customer-service focus—reviewing plans, conducting inspections, managing the rental inspection program, and helping property owners navigate reinvestment. There is potential to also serve as Fire Marshal with additional training.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
Certified Building Code Official and Certified Residential Building Inspector (PA Department of Labor and Industries)
Experience with PA Uniform Construction Code (UCC) and Municipalities Planning Code (MPC)
Valid PA driver's license
3+ years of experience as a local code official or similar role
