Description
Warrington Township is seeking interested residents to serve on its Agricultural Security Area Advisory Committee (ASAAC).
Pursuant to the Agricultural Area Security Law, the Committee consists of three active farmers, each representing a different private or corporate farm that operate within Warrington Township; one resident of Warrington Township; and one member of the Board of Supervisors who serves as Chair.
The Committee provides recommendations to the Board regarding the establishment, modification, and termination of Agricultural Security Areas, and meets infrequently.
Interested individuals who meet the applicable qualifications are encouraged to contact the Township Office either by phone at (717) 432-9082 or more preferably email at office@warringtontwp.org by Monday, August 10th by 5:00 p.m.
Interested parties must state which of the three listed categories they fall into so that the Board may appoint members to make up the Committee at its August 12th meeting.
