The Avalon Community Pool will remain closed today (Friday, July 17, 2026) due to the Code Purple Air Quality alert.
Please stay safe! A Code Purple means the air quality is dangerous for EVERYONE, not just people in sensitive groups. We urge residents to take the following precautions to stay healthy:
*Keep windows and doors closed.
*Use air conditioning on recirculate
*Avoid outdoor workouts.
*Keep car windows closed and use recirculated air.
*Avoid adding more pollution by postponing lawn mowing, grilling and unnecessary driving.
*Follow your asthma or COPD action plan if you have one.
*Contact a healthcare provider if symptoms get worse or do not go away.
