Smoke and haze from the Canadian wildfires are currently impacting the Lehigh Valley region. As a result, fire departments throughout the area are responding to numerous reports of smoke that are often attributable to these environmental conditions.
Residents are reminded to call 911 only in the envent of an actual emergency, including:
- Visible flames
- Heavy smoke originating from a specific structure or area
- An immediate threat to life or property
Your cooperation helps ensure that emergency personnel and resources remain available to respond promptly to genuine emergencies.
