Description
Due to the forecasted extreme heat over the next several days, Middle Paxton Township will open a Cooling Station at the Middle Paxton Township Municipal Building to provide residents with a safe, air-conditioned place to escape the heat. The Cooling Station will be open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
đź’§ Water and light snacks will be available while supplies last.
Please note:
The Cooling Station is not an overnight shelter.
It will operate only during periods of extreme heat and extended power outages.
Visitors are expected to return home when the Cooling Station closes each day.
We encourage everyone to check on family members, friends, and neighbors—especially older adults, young children, and individuals with medical conditions who may be more vulnerable to heat-related illnesses. If you or someone you know needs relief from the heat, please take advantage of this community resource.
