Broadhead Project: Weekend Road & Parking Update
Crafton residents,
This project has now been underway for over 10 months. We recognize the disruption this has caused and appreciate your continued patience.
Below is the road and parking status for this weekend:
Belvidere Street
One lane will remain open all weekend. Gravel pull-off ramps are available on the side of the road — please use these as needed to let oncoming traffic pass. Paving is scheduled for Monday.
Parke Street
The left side (heading down the hill) has a paved base layer. You may park on the right side (also newly paved base) this weekend, but vehicles will need to be moved by Monday morning, as excavation on the right side begins next week.
Rebecca Street & Broadhead Avenue
Both streets have paved base layers. Final binder coat paving is expected sometime next week. Parking is back to normal until Monday morning. We will provide an update once we have a firm date for the binder coat.
North Emily Street
Sewer work is complete. Please park as you normally would on the left side of the street, except where equipment or materials are still blocking a lane.
Coulter Street, Warren Street & Crennel Street
Work is complete and parking is back to normal. Any remaining cones will be removed next week.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
A couple of notes on what "complete" means at this stage: For every street listed above — including Coulter, Warren, and Crennell, which are otherwise finished — two steps remain before the project is fully closed out: vegetation restoration and any remaining punch list items.
Vegetation restoration refers to reseeding, sodding, or otherwise repairing lawns, grass strips, and disturbed ground along the construction area. Punch list items refer to smaller, outstanding tasks identified during final inspection — things like minor surface repairs, signage, or other loose ends that don't affect the street's day-to-day use but need to be addressed before the project is considered fully complete.
Thank you for your patience as we work to complete this project.
