Flood Watch issued July 6 at 6:59PM EDT until July 6 at 11:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central Ohio, including the following
areas, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Harrison, Jefferson OH and
Tuscarawas, Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Allegheny,
Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Fayette, Forest, Higher
Elevations of Fayette, Higher Elevations of Indiana, Higher
Elevations of Westmoreland, Indiana, Jefferson PA, Lawrence,
Mercer, Venango, Washington and Westmoreland, and West Virginia,
including the following areas, Brooke and Hancock.
* WHEN...Until 11 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- The combination of saturated grounds and heavy rain potential
from slow moving thunderstorms creates a higher risk for flash
flooding, especially in poor drainage, low lying areas, or areas
that experienced flooding within the previous three days.
