Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 5 at 9:12PM EDT until July 5 at 9:30PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 911 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Newville to near Cashtown to Gettysburg, moving east
at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Carlisle, Gettysburg, Shippensburg, Plainfield, Carroll Valley, Lake
Heritage, Newville, Cashtown, Aspers, Orrtanna, Walnut Bottom, and
Pine Grove Furnace.
This includes the following Interstates...
The Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 203 to 222.
Interstate 81 from mile markers 26 to 45.
Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
