Flash Flood Warning issued July 5 at 5:11PM EDT until July 5 at 7:15PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 511 PM EDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 3.5
to 4.5 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...911 Call Center and emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Ross Township, McCandless Township,
Monroeville, Moon Township, Franklin Park, Aliquippa, Shaler
Township, Plum, North Side Pittsburgh, Baldwin, Murrysville and
Hampton Township.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
