Description
Flash Flood Warning issued July 5 at 3:28PM EDT until July 5 at 6:30PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 328 PM EDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain
across the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 3 to 4 inches
in 1 hour. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Public reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
New Castle, Hermitage, Sharon, Butler, Grove City, Sharpsville,
Ellwood City, Homeacre-Lyndora, Farrell, Shanor-Northvue, Meridian,
Slippery Rock, Meadowood, New Wilmington, Oak Hills, Oakwood, New
Castle Northwest, Mercer and New Beaver.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
