Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 4 at 9:17PM EDT until July 4 at 9:30PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ

At 917 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Carneys Point,
or near Wilmington, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Wilmington, Pennsville, Carneys Point, Penns Grove, Salem, Alloway,
Arden, Elam, Concordville, Chelsea, Chester Heights, Marcus Hook,
Bellefonte, Ardentown, Ardencroft, Edgemoor, Boothwyn, Claymont,
Linwood, and Village Green-Green Ridge.

This includes the following highways...
New Jersey Turnpike near exit 1.
Interstate 95 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 1.
Interstate 95 in Delaware between mile markers 18 and 23.
Interstate 295 in New Jersey between mile markers 1 and 8.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Mount Holly NJ.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
