Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 4 at 8:07PM EDT until July 4 at 8:45PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ

At 805 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Elverson, or 13
miles south of Reading, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. This storm has a
history of producing wind damage.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Reading, West Chester, Pottstown, Coatesville, Wyomissing,
Downingtown, Kennett Square, Birdsboro, Sinking Spring, Laureldale,
Parkesburg, West Grove, Womelsdorf, Wernersville, Robesonia, Honey
Brook, Elverson, New Morgan, Pughtown, and Marshallton.

This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 296 and 314.
Interstate 176 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 1 and 11.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move
indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers.
Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck
by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
