Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 4 at 5:45PM EDT until July 4 at 6:15PM EDT by NWS Binghamton NY
At 544 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Old Forge, or
near Pittston, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Falls, Dunmore, Kingston, Plains, Old Forge,
Pittston, Archbald, and Blakely.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Heavy rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
