Description
Special Marine Warning issued July 3 at 4:38PM EDT until July 3 at 5:15PM EDT by NWS Buffalo NY
For the following areas...
Lake Ontario from Olcott to Irondequoit Bay...
At 438 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 14 nm north of Ontario Beach to near Hamlin Beach to
16 nm northeast of Fort Niagara, moving southeast at 40 knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.
Locations impacted include...
Sunset Beach, Ontario Beach, Thirty Mile Point, Irondequoit Bay,
Olcott, and Hamlin Beach.
Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
