The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a
* Special Marine Warning for...
Lake Ontario from Olcott to Irondequoit Bay...
* Until 515 PM EDT.
* At 411 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 17 nm north of Hamlin Beach to 13 nm northwest of
Sunset Beach to 17 nm north of Fort Niagara, moving southeast at 25
knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.
* Locations impacted include...
Sunset Beach, Ontario Beach, Thirty Mile Point, Irondequoit Bay,
Olcott, and Hamlin Beach.
Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
