Description
🌞 Extreme Heat Advisory – Stay Safe in 90°+ Temperatures
With temperatures climbing into the 90s and above, please take extra precautions to protect yourself, your family, neighbors, and pets.

Stay Cool
• Drink plenty of water throughout the day—even if you don't feel thirsty.
• Limit strenuous outdoor activities, especially between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunscreen.
• Take frequent breaks in air conditioning or shade.
• Never leave children, older adults, or pets in a parked vehicle—even for a few minutes.

Know the Warning Signs
💧 Dehydration: Excessive thirst, dry mouth, dark urine, dizziness, headache, or fatigue. Move to a cool place and sip water or an electrolyte drink.
☀️ Heat Stroke (Medical Emergency): Body temperature above 103°F, confusion, slurred speech, fainting, hot red skin, or loss of consciousness. Call 911 immediately. Move the person to a cooler location and begin cooling them with cool water, wet towels, or ice packs while waiting for emergency responders. Do not force fluids if they are confused or unconscious.
Please check on older adults, young children, neighbors living alone, and anyone without reliable air conditioning. A quick phone call or visit can make a big difference.

Stay hydrated, stay cool, and stay safe.
