Extreme Heat Warning issued July 2 at 3:03AM CDT until July 3 at 12:00AM CDT by NWS Chicago IL
* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with peak heat index values up
to 105 degrees.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and
northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.
* WHEN...Until midnight CDT /1 AM EDT/ tonight.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase during heat waves.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
