Description
With temperatures expected to rise throughout the week, West Homestead Borough will have a cooling center available at the West Homestead Volunteer Fire Company. Upon request, their social hall, will be available for residents who need relief from the heat.
If you need a safe place to cool down, refrigerate medication, charge medical devices or electronics, or simply escape the high temperatures, we are here to help.
During Borough Office Hours:
Please call the Borough Office at 412-461-1844 to arrange access.
After Hours:
Please contact Chief Churma at 412-670-5131 or Chief Dindak at 412-670-4613 to gain access to the social hall.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you or someone you know could benefit from this resource. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and check in on your neighbors, especially older adults and those who may be more vulnerable to the heat.
