Extreme Heat Warning issued June 30 at 12:43AM EDT until July 2 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH
* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values around
105 expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast Kentucky and central and south
central Ohio.
* WHEN...From noon today to 8 PM EDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those
working or participating in outdoor activities.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
