Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs) are annual water quality reports that inform the public about the safety, sources, and contaminants of their drinking water.
What is a CCR?
A Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), also called an Annual Drinking Water Quality Report, is a document that every U.S. community water system must prepare and deliver to its customers each year by July 1, covering the previous year’s water quality monitoring
. CCRs summarize data collected by water utilities, including any regulated contaminants detected, how these levels compare to federal health standards, and whether the utility had any violations.
. The reports also provide information about the source of the water and any treatment processes used.
