Extreme Heat Watch issued June 29 at 1:20PM EDT until July 3 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values between
105 and 110.
* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania.
* WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon through Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Long duration extreme heat risk with little
to no overnight relief.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and stay in an
air-conditioned room.
