Description
The Town of Inglis is looking for a dedicated and reliable individual to join our Public Works department.
As part of our team, you will get cross-trained and assist with various vital tasks around town.
Job Requirements:
- Education/Experience: High School diploma or G.E.D. with some general maintenance experience. (Note: 2 years of high-school level education may substitute for 2 years of experience).
- Licensing: Must have a valid Florida driver's license.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to a height of 4 feet, climb a ladder up to 30 feet, and sit while operating equipment for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Screening: Must voluntarily submit to random and pre-employment drug testing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs manual work including mowing grass, trash pick- up, cleaning town buildings, patching streets. Will be required to read water meters, and related duties as assigned. May set up tables and Charis for meetings, open and close budlings for security, deliver supplies and messages. May perform semi- skilled and unskilled jobs involving maintenance repair and construction tasks. May clean grounds, install sings, or unload trucks.
