Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 14 at 8:49PM EDT until June 14 at 9:00PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 849 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Grover to Trout Run to Sand Bridge State Park, moving
east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Williamsport, Montoursville, Carroll, Duboistown, Elimsport, R.B.
Winter State Park, Ralston, Forest Hill, Sand Bridge State Park,
Trout Run, Cogan Station, and Spruce Run Reservoir.
For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the
Loganton and Lewisburg-Williamsport exits, specifically from mile
markers 190 to 206.
This includes Interstate 180 from mile markers 20 to 29.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for central and
north central Pennsylvania.
Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
