Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 14 at 6:17PM EDT until June 14 at 7:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 617 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 6
miles east of Meadowood to over Glen Dale, or along a line from 6
miles east of Butler to over Moundsville, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township,
Wheeling, McCandless Township, Monroeville, Cranberry, Moon
Township, McMurray, McKeesport, Butler, Washington, Franklin Park,
Moundsville, Canonsburg, Martins Ferry and Vandergrift.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for portions of
southwest and west central Pennsylvania.
