Yesterday, the difficult decision was made to cancel the Red, White & Blue Dinner that had been scheduled on Sunday, June 14th. We were so excited to share this wonderful, first-of-its-kind event with everyone and celebrate the Borough's 150th anniversary on its birthday month, but this decision was in the best interest of public safety. Given the forecast of rain and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening, it would be too great a risk to hold the dinner as planned.
When we announced the dinner last month, we were absolutely blown away by the outpouring of interest and support. It was so great that we had to increase the number of seats from 175 to 250 -- and they were still all filled within a few days! It's a privilege to be part of such a passionate community, and we want to carry that excitement throughout the year.
As such, please know that the Red, White & Blue Dinner has been postponed, not cancelled outright, and will be rescheduled for a later date. We have not yet decided on a date, but will be making plans in the coming weeks. Once we have made a final decision, it will be announced on the Borough website, the official 150th anniversary website, our Facebook page, Langhorne Borough’s 150th Anniversary - A Year to Celebrate , Savvy Citizen, and of course through Constant Contact. We will also be reaching out to those who registered to confirm their seats for the new date.
