Garage & Yard Sale Season is Here – What North York Borough Residents Need to Know
As the weather warms up across York County, it’s officially garage and yard sale season in North York Borough! This is a great time to declutter your home, connect with neighbors, and give your unwanted items a second life.
Before you set up your tables and price tags, please take a moment to review important Borough requirements to ensure your sale runs smoothly—and legally.

📝 Permit Required
Residents planning a garage or yard sale must obtain a permit in advance.
• Cost: $10 per weekend
• Duration: Permits may not exceed 3 consecutive days
Permits are required for each sale event, so be sure to plan accordingly and secure yours before advertising your sale.

• All signs MUST be removed immediately after your sale has ended
Leaving signs up after your event is a violation and may result in enforcement action.
