* Until 615 PM EDT.
* At 512 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Truman to Parker Dam State Park to Blandburg,
moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
St. Marys, DuBois, Clearfield, Cameron, Wharton, Philipsburg,
Woodland, Curwensville, Emporium, Penfield, Hyde, and Osceola
Mills.
Radar has indicated rotation within these severe thunderstorms.
Although a tornado is not immediately likely, tornadoes can develop
quickly during severe thunderstorms.
For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the
Dubois and Snow Shoe exits, specifically from mile markers 100 to
146.
This includes Interstate 99 from mile markers 56 to 64.
Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these severe
thunderstorms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's
leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning.
Very heavy rainfall is occurring with these severe thunderstorms, and
may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
