Heat Advisory issued June 10 at 5:36PM EDT until June 12 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Heat index values up to 103 degrees expected.
* WHERE...Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York
Counties.
* WHEN...From 11 AM Thursday to 8 PM EDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Some showers and thunderstorms on Thursday
and Friday may provide local relief from the heat, but it will
remain very humid. It will then turn much less humid this weekend
in the wake of a cold front, but temperatures will remain above
normal.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and stay in an
air-conditioned room.
Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Check up on relatives and neighbors, and provide pets with adequate
water and shelter from the sun.
Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles
under any circumstances. This is especially true during hot weather
when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of
minutes. LOOK BEFORE YOU LOCK.
