The Bruceville-Eddy Police Department would like to make citizens aware of reports received by surrounding law enforcement agencies regarding individuals going door-to-door claiming to be associated with Oncor.
These individuals have reportedly been observed wearing reflective safety vests and identifying themselves as utility workers. Residents have reported that the individuals are requesting access to view electric meters and utility bills.

According to information provided by Oncor, these individuals are not Oncor employees and are not conducting official business on behalf of the company.

⚠️ Safety Tips for Residents: • Do not provide copies of your utility bills or account information to unknown individuals. • Do not allow unknown persons access to your property unless their identity and purpose can be verified. • Ask for company identification and contact the company directly if you have concerns. • If you feel uncomfortable or suspicious about any contact, do not engage and contact law enforcement.

At this time, the Bruceville-Eddy Police Department has not received any reports of these individuals within our city; however, we want residents to remain vigilant and aware of this activity occurring in neighboring communities.
