Description
Please be advised that Union Pacific’s Big Boy No. 4014, the world’s largest operating steam locomotive, will journey to the East Coast this summer for the first time as part of a historic coast-to-coast tour celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.
The locomotive will pass through Wesleyville along Water Street. It is scheduled to depart Conneaut, Ohio, at approximately 9:00 a.m. and arrive in North East at approximately 11:30 a.m., so it is expected to pass through the Borough sometime between those times.
Safety Tips
Stay at least 25 feet away from all railroad tracks. This includes drones.
Railroad tracks, trestles, rail yards, and rights-of-way are private property. Do not trespass.
Never assume tracks are abandoned or inactive—always expect a train.
Be a safe and considerate driver; do not pace the train.
Be aware of your surroundings. While every effort is made to provide access for all guests, Big Boy is operating in a working rail environment with uneven walking surfaces that may present accessibility challenges.
