Mosquito spraying update

Description
Over the weekend, in recognition of the abundant rainfall, the City of Stamford began spraying for mosquitoes. City employees will be spraying in the evenings for the foreseeable future. A few reminders about this process:
1. We use a spray that is mostly clear and odorless, unlike the “aromatic“ fogging of days gone by, so if you don’t see or smell it, that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been sprayed.
2. The City crew divides the town into sectors and rotates through them each night, while spraying around recreational areas (park, pool, TCR, etc.) each night. Each sector of town will be sprayed multiple times each week.
3. If a citizen is outside, our crew will not spray in front of your house as a precautionary measure. We ask that folks be mindful of that and not go outside to watch.
Happy summer!
