* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Schuylkill County in central Pennsylvania...
* Until 630 PM EDT.
* At 541 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Pine Grove,
moving east at 45 mph. Other strong to severe storms were forming
nearby.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Pottsville, Tamaqua, Schuylkill Haven, Minersville, St. Clair,
Orwigsburg, Pine Grove, Port Carbon, Tremont, Hometown, Tower City,
and Tuscarora.
This includes Interstate 81 from mile markers 97 to 113.
Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this severe
thunderstorm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's
leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning.
