Description
On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, the Steelton Borough Police Department conducted a dedicated Curfew Enforcement Detail as part of our ongoing efforts to promote public safety and ensure compliance with borough ordinances.
During the operation, officers encountered and investigated numerous juveniles who were out during prohibited curfew hours. As a result, nineteen (19) juveniles were found to violate the borough's curfew ordinance.
The Department's goal is education and prevention. Therefore, juveniles identified as first-time offenders were issued warnings and released to their parents or guardians. Repeat offenders will be cited for violations of the borough's curfew ordinance.
As the school year has concluded and summer activities increase, the Steelton Borough Police Department will continue conducting periodic curfew details throughout the borough. These efforts are intended to reduce juvenile victimization, deter criminal activity, and maintain a safe environment for residents and visitors alike.
We encourage parents and guardians to familiarize themselves with the borough's curfew regulations and to ensure that their children comply with the ordinance.
The Steelton Borough Police Department remains committed to proactive policing, community engagement, and the safety of our neighborhoods.
