Flood Watch issued June 3 at 12:09AM CDT until June 3 at 6:00AM CDT by NWS Lubbock TX
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Southern portions of the South Plains, including the
following counties, Cochran, Garza, Hockley, Lynn, Terry and
Yoakum.
* WHEN...Until 6 AM CDT early this morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Several clusters of slow-moving thunderstorms are expected to
continue through the overnight hours. Thunderstorms may move
over the same areas repeatedly which may result in flash
flooding.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
