* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Curry County in east central New Mexico...
Southeastern Quay County in east central New Mexico...
Northern Roosevelt County in east central New Mexico...
* Until 615 PM MDT.
* At 515 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
7 miles east of Quay to 15 miles south of Melrose, moving east at
30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Clovis, Portales, Melrose, Grady, House, Saint Vrain, Ranchvale,
Cannon Air Force Base, Oasis State Park and Ragland.
This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 346 and 394.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.
Wind damage with these storms will occur before any rain or
lightning. Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover.
