City Hall will be closed on Memorial Day, as we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.
Cedar Key has deep military roots — from a key supply depot during the Seminole Wars and a Union base during the Civil War to a role in World War II coastal defense against German U-boats, with our local airfield supporting training. We remember all who have served, especially our local veterans.
We invite you to join the community at the Cedar Key Cemetery at 11:00 AM for the Memorial Day ceremony hosted by CK Vets Inc.
May we never forget the sacrifices that secure our freedom.
