Red Flag Warning issued May 17 at 8:56PM CDT until May 18 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Lubbock TX
* Timing...From 11 AM until 10 PM on Monday.
* Wind...Southwest at 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
* Humidity...As low as 5 percent.
* Fuels...Critically dry to extremely dry.
* Impacts...Any fires that develop can spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is discouraged.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
