Red Flag Warning issued May 16 at 10:13PM CDT until May 17 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Lubbock TX

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING
THROUGH MONDAY EVENING FOR STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY
FOR THE SOUTH PLAINS, ROLLING PLAINS, AND THE FAR SOUTHERN TEXAS
PANHANDLE...

* Timing...For the Red Flag Warning, from 12 PM to 9 PM on Sunday.
For the Fire Weather Watch, from 11 AM until 10 PM on Monday.

* Wind...On Sunday, southwest at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40
mph. On Monday, southwest at 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50
mph.

* Humidity...As low as 5 percent.

* Fuels...Critically dry to extremely dry.

* Impacts...Any fires that develop can spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is discouraged.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.
